Who are you? Tell something about yourself
-I am Yoodoo Park, and I am a working musician that still goes to a four year college.
When and how did you start making music?
-I started writing music about a year after I started learning how to play bass guitar in middle school because I sucked at playing. So I to prevent people from criticize my playing at guitar shops, I started playing my own riffs/songs so that people didn’t judge me for playing Stairway to Heaven really badly.
How would you describe your music?
-I describe my music as “mood-rock”, or “moody-rock”.
What has been the biggest influence on your upcoming sophomore album “Soon Away”?
-The biggest influence on this album is probably myself.
What are the biggest challenges making an album?
-The biggest challenge in making anything in general (which also constitutes to this album) is my attention span. It’s pretty much non-existent.
Who’s the coolest person you’ve worked with so far?
I think the coolest person I ever worked with was my co-worker at a coffee shop, she was really good as making Latte Art on the espresso drinks.
What aspect of making music excites you the most right now?
-Any genuine music that comes from the neck.
Any artists you’d like to work with in the future?
-I would be stoked to work with Picasso, but he already passed away 🙁 maybe Dr. Seuss in his prime years before his narly success maybe!
What was the first event you ever played at?
-The first show I ever played officially was in front of my high school, and all I remember was trying really hard not to cuss on accident cause the school teachers and ASB people were all watching.
Best live performances?
-I think the coolest show was probably in McAllen, Texas for a festival we did called “Galax Z Fair”. That was probably the coolest crowd we ever played to, and it was in a bar so it was pretty intimate and drunk.
What should your fans look forward too in the future?
-Dope-ass songs and some dope-ass beats for these dope-ass songs
